Exercises To Slow Down Aging

Choosing not to exercise is one of the most common reasons for aging too fast. Those people who take only limited or no exercise are generally more vulnerable to poor health and may also experience problems with sleeping at night. This results in often feeling over tired and stressed during the day.

If you don’t sleep well at night you wake up feeling unrefreshed and exhausted even before you start the day. This get progressively worse until in the late after noon, early evening you are so tired you feel yourself nodding off and may find yourself waking up whilst driving home from work or while watching TV.

When you have a good nights sleep your mind will be sharper and you will be able to make important decisions quicker and with less stress. A good nights sleep will lead to you feeling more energized and will even help you control your weight. You will also find that you feel less stressed. When you sleep well you’ll also find your immune system will be much more effective and stay healthier.

Doctors and Health Researchers have proved that a good nights sleep is essential for your health. They have discovered that when you lack sleep it reduces the growth hormones in your body, this allows changes from muscles to fat. Sleep is most important for a healthy body, but is believed at this time that exercise is even more significant. To give your health a helping hand a simple walk for a few minutes a day can work wonders.

Walking daily will help to stregthen and build your muscles, ease away stress and any depression you may experience in addition it will help eliminate anxiety. By removing these daily rigours of everyday life you will be able to sleep for a longer and deeper and generally feel more invigorated for the trials and tribulations of the day.

If you exercise on a day to day basis and also get a good nights sleep you will assist your body’s metabolism. When you don’t sleep properly, your body spends the day trying to find extra energy. This means your body releases glucose or insulin in to the blood stream which subsequently slows down your metabolism. This can lead to weight gain as the body is unable to control weight as effectively.

Being tired and worn out is no joke and the last thing on your mind when you feel that way is exercising. But lack of exercise and avoiding activities which make you feel energized can lead to you becoming apothetic and unmotivated. Getting a good sleep is crucial and your body will love you for it. Not only that you’ll be fired up for the day ahead and look forward to exercise as a stress release method.

What you should be looking to avoid:

Your body needs good quality sleep to function properly so I recommend that you try and cut down on products containing caffeine, tobacco products containing nicotine, the use of toxic chemicals in the home and at work. In addition where possible take prescriptions drugs only where absolutely needed and take care when using over the counter medications. Most of these products contain chemicals which stimulate the body making it harder to get to sleep at night.

Try to avoid drinking anything after 8 p.m. in the evening or if you are thirsty drink filtered water avoid soda’s and drinks containing caffeine if you like a bed time drink drink warm milk. Nicotine should be avoided if possible at all times, but if you must smoke try to avoid smoking after 8 p.m.

By taking a walk every morning you will encourage your body to be energized and you’ll, feel much more prepared for the day ahead. In addition an added benefit will be your joints will be more flexible and you’ll become less prone to aches and pains associated with lack of mobility.

There are several additional benefits not least you’ll be able to keep up with youngsters half your age. Plus of course you’ll remain trim as one good thing about exercising is as well as helping your body stay young it will burn off those calories as well. Now that’s a added bonuses isn’t it?

If you are new to walking for exercise I recommend that you don’t over do things it is all to easy to cause injury or worse if you push to hard at the start. Walking should leave you energized not collapsed on the sidewalk. Remember build up slowly and slowly and you won’t go far wrong. A added bonus of all this extra walking is your digestion will work better, you’ll enjoy your food more and you’ll also sleep soundly at nights. Oh and I nearly forgot it can help your realtionships as well as you’ll want a great way to use up some of that new found energy won’t you?

If you decide to walk why not encourgage your spouse or loved one to come along as well especially at weekends and during the evenings. You’ll find you can catch up about the days activities and get fit and feel younger in to the bargain.

So you’ve completed a good brisk walk and the temptation is to just dash back in to your daily routine. Don’t do this as this can lead to serious injury or even a heart attack. The correct proocedure after any form of exercise is to complete a warm down or cool down routine. This means you let your body stabalize and your heart rate drop to a normal resting pace.

If you find you are suffering with insomnia during the night or your mind simply refuses to switch off after a busy day at work. Instead of getting up and watching the late night TV shows just sit listening to some quiet relaxing music and do a few simple stretching exercises before going back to bed.

If you help your body your body will help you. So many people choose to neglect their body. But by just giving it a little attention it will last you well and with a bit of helping hand see you well in old age.
